The dagger that we refer to as a three quillon dagger is actually a ring dagger with a third projection forward from the top of the ring. This version is based off an example that went up for auction a few years ago. Daggers of this style were used from the late 1500's to the mid 1600's.
The quillons are formed out of plane of the blade as was very common in this period and the ends match with the swelled end style of rapier quillons that we produce. Although it is shown with a leather handle, the price reflects a wood handle. Comes with either a 16" or a 14" Darkwood blade; 12" are available on the Blades section for $10 more.
