English Rapier

Starting at: $750.00

The English Rapier, with its delicate loop bars and pierced front lobes, was a common sight in Jacobean England. First developing into its own style about 1635, the English rapier (sometimes called the English cup hilt) is found in a fair variety of forms and often with astounding chisel and file work and beautiful ornamentation of all kinds. For our version we have chosen a somewhat utilitarian one based on an example that sold at auction.

Shown here in black, it is also available in the bright finish at no extra charge.
